CERT

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members will receive disaster preparedness training for hazards that may impact ESD #2 and receive training in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, the CERT members will complement and enhance first-response capability in neighborhoods and workplaces by ensuring the safety of themselves and their families working outward to the neighborhood or office and beyond until first responders arrive. CERT members can then assist local and county first-response personnel as directed. CERT will also assist Local and County emergency managers.
